Valerie Sanson's exuberantly unique design style evolved right in her hometown of Richmond. After graduating from VCU's School of the Arts, Valerie began a career as a fashion coordinator for Richmond's famed Thalhimer's department stores. Valerie applied her retail knowledge to a venture of her own when she opened one of Richmond's most imaginative home accessory and gift boutiques, Lane Sanson. It wasn't long, however, before her love for fashion reasserted itself and her jewelry collection, "Painting with Stones," was born. Valerie says of her collection, "when wearing my jewelry, you can't have a bad day."
