Buddhist Mandalas 2021 Wall Calendar

Twelve monthly grids and full-color artwork Size: 12 x 13 in. Opens to 12 x 26 in. Ornamented with inks, mineral pigments, and gold leaf, Buddhist mandalas are rich in symbolism and are used in meditation and religious rituals. These geometric diagrams, often in the form of tapestries, paintings, and hanging scrolls, are sacred representations of the universe. And though the creation of such images was deemed praiseworthy, the artists who made them were rarely identified within the artworks. The twelve images in this calendar are reproduced from mandalas in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
