Voragine Serving Bowl

Material: Porcelain
Dimensions: 12 inch
Care: Handwash recommended

Serve in style with the Vorágine Serving Bowl. Rendered in fine porcelain and magnifying the botanical-literary narrative of the series, this bowl supports family-style meals or luxe entertaining. Its scale and artistry make it both functional and decorative: leave it on the table post-meal and it becomes a sculptural object. Ideal for sustainably minded hosts who value artistry in utility.

Within the framework of the series “Atardece en Trópico” (“Tropical Sunset”), the studies Remedios titled “Vorágine” (“Maelstrom”) were born, in memory of and in relation to the novel by José Eustasio Rivera, which she read during childhood—a story of two lovers set between the plains and the Amazon jungle.

The epilogue of the story lingered in her mind and within a few drawings over the years, taking on new forms and resurfacing in these recent studies.
